- 1 x 3030-028 - Ceramic Glass,
Procedure to Replace the Glass & Glass Gasket:
- Open the front door by removing the phillips head screw or socket head bolt. Remove the door by lifting it straight up off the hinges with the hinge pins remaining in the door. Place it face down. (Use a soft surface for enameled doors.) a. Hint: With the door in this position apply penetrating oil to each of the retaining screws in the glass frame before attempting to remove the screws.
- With the phillips screw driver, remove the window frame screws to separate the window frame from the door. Carefully lift the damaged original glass from the door. Clean all surfaces of any glass or gasket residue.
- If the kit contains the glass with the gasket already applied, skip to step 5. Otherwise, peel the paper backing from the back side of the flat gasket, a small amount at a time. Wrap the tape around the outside edge of the glass, fold the edges down so they overlap both the front and back of the glass equally. Cut off any excess gasket. Ensure there is no gap where the ends of the gasket meet.
- Place the gasketed glass back into the door and screw the glass retention frame back onto the door to hold the glass in place.
- Install and close the door. Secure the door by re-installing the screw or socket head bolt with a phillips screwdriver or allen wrench.
